Tver is an ancient Russian city with a rich history. It was founded based still in 12 century. Modern Tver (about 500 thousands of inhabitants) is an industrial, scientific and cultural center of the Tver region. Tver has a very convenient geographical site. It is situated between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Through the city Tver there passes the railway and automobile highway connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg. Less than three hours are necessary to reach from Tver to Moscow. Tver is the first river port on the great Russian river Volga. Volga is the largest river of Europe. Volga decorates downtown. The historical and modern downtown with remarkable monuments of architecture of the 18-19 centuries is located on the right bank of the river, and on the left bank there is a main building of the Tver State Technical University. In five minutes of walking from the main building of the University and from Volga in ecologically pure area of Tver there is a building of International Academic Cooperation Faculty (IACF). It is very convenient. It is not necessary to spend a lot of time to reach mail, banks, Internet-cafe, bus and railway stations, shops … It is not only convenient, but also it is favorable. If you want to go by taxi, at your service 22 firms. It will cost 5-6 times cheaper, than in Moscow. The International Academic Cooperation Faculty (FIAC) is located in one building, where are compactly connected educational process, residing and rest of the pupils. |
